Hi, Alli Townsend here. It has been difficult to sleep because I am so excited about this trip to Baja, Mexico. For this first post I will briefly share about what we will be doing in Baja and explain Ten Days Mission Experiences and Every Nation.
Wednesday, June 8, our team will meet up with 100 other people from Every Nation Churches and campus ministries from around the U.S.. Our purpose for the trip is to build a church and share the Gospel with the people of Baja.
On a personal note, I have been on two Ten Days missions trips and LOVED them. I have gone to Waco, Texas, and Cincinnati, Ohio where we edified a new EN church plant (called Bethel Cincinnati) and helped launch an ENC (Every Nation Campus) chapter at the University of Cincinnati. These trips are organized, God honoring and fruitful. I am confident that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will go forth and not return void. I am confident that we will see those who appear hard hearted or too "down and out" experience the liberating love of their Heavenly Father for the first time. From there, we will connect them to their new spiritual family through the EN church. At that point, it will not be long before they step foot into the church we are building for them.
Perhaps you're asking, what is Ten Days and who is Every Nation?
Ten Days Missions Experiences is the short term missions arm of Every Nation, which In Focus Church is part of. In case you are not familiar, Every Nation exists to honor God and advance His kingdom by establishing Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, socially responsible churches and campus ministries in every nation. Churches are planted in cities with universities because we believe in reaching young people. In Focus is an Every Nation church. I serve as a missionary with the campus arm of Every Nation, called Every Nation Campus. If you would like to learn more you can check out their websites www.everynation.org and www.tendaysmissions.org.
That is all for now. Stay tuned because my next post should include a picture of the team.
