Short update from the longest layover ever—

We had a great day wandering around the city and doing our best to stay awake and switch our bodies to this time zone. :) Eating Dutch foods, walking in the cold rain, and avoiding getting hit by bikes — that was the MO for the day. (Side note: there are thousands of bikes in this city. Thousands! A few of us were up close and personal with some of them as we avoided near misses of being run over by speedy Dutch drivers!)

We saw God’s favor as we obtained tickets to tour the Anne Frank Haus after being told it was sold out. We were so excited to experience this piece of history. What a humbling and sobering tour.

We have an EARLY start tomorrow. Our flight for Cape Town leaves mid morning and it will take about 12 hours!

Thanks for praying for us. We sense the nearness of Jesus.
